Curriculum
Assignments

Assignments will be written on the board every Monday and on the class website. You are expected to write the assignments in your assignment notebook and make changes throughout the week, if necessary. Any changes will be written on the assignment board in class.

Absent Work

It is YOUR responsibility to find out missing work and make arrangements to complete it. When you miss class, check the Absent Folders, the class webpage, and/or ask a classmate or myself. If you know ahead of time that you will be missing class due to a doctor's appointment, sectionals, field trip for another class, or vacation, please notify me in advance. If you must make up a lab or test due to an absence, please make an appointment after school in the Science Success Center.

There will be no deduction for late work. However, if you do not have an assignment completed the day it is due, you will be assigned an after school appointment in the Science Success Center. You will be given a form with your appointment date that must be signed by your parent/guardian. Failure to report to the center will result in another appointment. If you miss that appointment, a referral to the office will be made. Appointments at the center will continue to be given until the assignment is completed to turn in.

Late Work & Science Success Center

Extra help is ALWAYS available. Discuss it with me first if possible so I am aware of your needs. If I am unavilable, you can make an appointment for the Science Success Center to get help from another science teacher.

Grades will be determined by total points accumulated in a quarter. The overall grade will be based on your performance on labs, projects, quizzes, and tests. Grades can be viewed on PowerSchool. If the assignment is late, it will be indicated by a red triangle, and if the assignment is missing, there will be a yellow box.
